Welcome! I hope this website will help readers, parents, teachers, librarians, history enthusiasts and anyone else who is interested, find out more about me and my books! I’m a Somerset based author who writes children’s fiction, military history and local heritage books. I am the editor of Over the Top, the children’s magazine associated with the Great War Group, and have done Television work for the Yesterday Channel. I always have a range of fiction and non-fiction projects on the go, along with taking part in a number of school visits, talks and events right across the country each year. You can find details on all my books here on the website and it is possible to keep up to date with everything I am doing by following me on social media. If you have something particular you would like to ask, or to enquire about a booking, please use the contact section! I visit schools right across the country offering poetry, story planning and character creation workshops; Remembrance Day visits; or deliver any number of World War Two talks & workshops – as well as bringing the ‘largest WW2 pop-up museum in the country‘ into schools to give pupils a real hands-on-history experience!

“Not many people write both fiction and non-fiction but I enjoy the challenge of writing in two very different styles. As a children’s author I want to produce books that are inspiring, entertaining, easy to read and tell a great story! As a historical writer, research is paramount, I try and view the different aspects with fresh eyes whilst being factually accurate.”
